The
Medical Response Team is the newest branch of DART. The team consists
of a core group of highly trained Medical Professionals supported by ancillary
staff with widely variable skill levels. We coordinate with the different
DART teams and provide Emergency Medical Services within an established
system for delivery of effective and efficient medical care.

Personnel
The core Medical Response Team personnel are qualified at the following levels:
- First Responder
- Medical Assistant
- EMT1
- Licensed Vocational Nurse
- Registered Nurse
- Family Nurse Practitioner
- MD (Internal Medicine, Occupational Medicine)
Training
Specialized training includes:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Automatic External Defibrillator
- Health Care Provider Level CPR
- US Army Medical Research and Materials Command 3 day
- Biological and Chemical Warfare and Terrorism Course

Exercises:
MRT members are required to participate in at least one annual functional exercise.
Functional exercises nominally take six to eight hours. During functional exercises
members of the MRT simulate mass casualty response and coordination with other
facets of the Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team as well as Moffett Fire, Moffett
Security and other outside agencies as needed.

- Triage Van
- Disaster Response Trailer - small scale incidents
- Mass Casualty Response Trailer - large scale incidents
- Zoll Defibrillators with Capnography, NIBP, O2 Saturation
- Welch Allyn Patient Vital Signs Monitors
